Orthodontist
Dr. Ted Bennion has been a practicing orthodontist for 25 years. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Oregon Health Sciences University, and obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Orthodontics from Saint Louis University following a rigorous residency.
Dr. Bennion chose orthodontics for its potential to create meaningful relationships and build friendships across diverse age groups. His passion for the field is reflected in his joy at encountering patients outside the office, forming lifelong friendships, and witnessing the positive impact of orthodontic treatment on patients' health and confidence.
Dedicated to constant learning and professional growth, Dr. Bennion is committed to staying at the forefront of orthodontic technology and science. His goal is to provide the best possible orthodontic experience, enhancing patient care by offering advanced treatment options and shorter treatment times. He is one of the few board-certified orthodontists in Southern Oregon and is affiliated with the American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and SureSmile® Clinical Advisory Board. He has also served as the president of the Southern Oregon Dental Society and the Children’s Dental Clinic, and he played a key role in organizing the Medford Mission of Mercy, which provided free dental care to over a thousand community members.
Originally from Provo, Utah, Dr. Bennion has lived in Medford for 25 years with his wife Kristi and their five children. His family includes Mary, married to Michael Stallings with three children; Sarah, married to Chris Keenan with two children; Rachel, married to Clayton Grundvig and working in Charlottesville, VA; and Emma and Luke, both attending BYU. The family also has two labradoodles, Lulu and Kora.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Bennion enjoys spending time with his family, visiting his children across different time zones, and engaging in activities such as basketball, running, camping, skiing, gardening, playing the piano, singing, and writing music. He is also active in volunteer work, particularly with the Boy Scouts and his church, where he has held various leadership roles.
For Dr. Bennion, being an orthodontist is a true blessing. The ability to connect with a wide range of people, improve their lives through orthodontic care, and spread joy through creating beautiful smiles makes him feel like the luckiest man on earth.
